
After fracturing her hips in two places, Kathy Lee Gifford was taken to the hospital.
The” Life With Regis and Kathie Lee” student told Citizens on Tuesday that she had to go to the hospital for more than a year to get physical therapy and that she tripped and fell after having her new hip replacement surgery.
Gifford, 70, was injured while hurrying to the door and “it did n’t take much, because I was weak in that spot”.
” The next thing you know, I am back in the clinic with a damaged hip, the front and the back. That pains me more than anything else I’ve ever experienced with my hips. The hip is utterly painful”, she told the store.
The TV personality and author said that, at a signing in Nashville, Tennessee, she moved more than 300 novels by herself the day before the collapse, causing her body to deteriorate.
Your body changes as you age, she said,” You think you know what your body is.” ” And as much as I do n’t wanna think about it, I am”.
She added:” The Lord is telling me it’s time to slow down. I’ve been running my entire career. The Lord is telling me,’ You’ve planted a dozen blooms. Test smelling them.'”
The , former” Today” show co-host, who left the morning show in 2019,  , returned to Studio 1A , earlier this month to promote ,” Herod and Mary” , , the first book she co-authored in the biblical” Ancient Evil, Living Hope” series.

Gifford’s members did not respond to The Times ‘ requests for comment on Wednesday.
