Jimmy Carter, the former US president, is turning 100 on October 1st, and he has a special reason for doing so: to support Kamala Harris in the future US national poll.
Carter, who entered hospice care in February 2023, has defied objectives by persevering much longer than anticipated. Carter hilariously shared his desire to support Harris in a discussion with his brother Chip, as revealed by his nephew Jason Carter in a statement from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The former leader, a Nobel Peace Prize winner and activist for various charitable causes, remains the longest-living leader in US history. Jason Carter mentioned that his father has shown renewed interest in politics and world affairs, especially the ongoing fight in Gaza, despite his health issues.
Vice President Harris has swiftly resurrected the Democratic foundation as a result of President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign’s termination last month in readiness for Donald Trump’s November 5 election.
Carter, a Democrat, served one term as president after being elected in 1976. His administration was marked by victories like the Camp David Accords and difficulties like the hostage situation in Iran. Despite health losses, including beating head tumor in his 90s, Carter continues to inspire with his endurance.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia’s first election time may permit Carter to cast his vote as early as October 15, only two days after his jubilee day.
