
Within an afternoon of Hurricane Debby’s initial impact on Monday morning, over 200, 000 Florida homes and businesses lost energy. As of Monday afternoon, almost 300, 000 Residents were without electricity.
According to the National Hurricane Center, Hurricane Debby touched down around 7 a. m. in Steinhatchee, which is a city located in the Big Bend region of northern Florida. The National Hurricane Center described the storms as a Category 1 wind with sustained gusts reaching speeds of up to 80 mph.
While 200, 000 Residents lost power in the first minute of the storms, the Poweroutage. According to the US website, almost 300,000 homes and businesses in Florida were without electricity as of Monday afternoon.
Florida was initially impacted by the major storm, but it did n’t appear to be having any significant impact on other states, according to Fox Business. Climate authorities have cautioned that Georgia and South Carolina are expected to be affected by the storm’s northeastern winds of approximately 10 mph.

The National Hurricane Center warned of the potential for” severe flooding” and “potentially ancient large rainfall” to sweep south Georgia and the southern plain of South Carolina through Saturday night.
The National Hurricane Center warned that areas of the east coast of the United States, including Florida, are “dangerous storm surge and wind effect,” and that “zones of dangerous storm surge and weather effect” are expected to be felt until the middle of the year. Additionally, the affected areas were subject to storm surge instructions and tropical storm pieces.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla. ) released a statement on Sunday, prior to the hurricane touching down in Florida. The Democratic governor addressed the possibility of power outages and provided directions for safe operation of producers in the tropical storm.

When the weather permits, they will be working around the clock to quickly and safely restore your strength, DeSantis said.
