Vice President , Kamala Harris, who is now the Democratic Party’s standard presidential candidate,  , has reportedly selected Democrat Minnesota Gov. Before the November vote, Tim Walz became her working mate.
Before Tuesday’s Philadelphia march, where Harris is scheduled to officially announce her choice, three resources confirmed her decision as her vice presidential nominee, according to The Associated Press.
Walz, the governor of Pennsylvania, and Harris, the top three possible prospects she had been thinking about for her going girlfriend, according to The Associated Press.  , Josh Shapiro, and Arizona Sen.  , Mark Kelly.
The choice of 60-year-old Walz comes as the previous congressman’s second term as governor of Minnesota is reported by Fox News. Minnesota has consistently voted for Democrats for senator for centuries despite former president Donald Trump’s campaign’s attacks on the state in the 2024 vote period.
Walz rose to the rank of order sergeant major after 24 years of service with the Army National Guard, according to The Associated Press. Before being elected as a U. S. agent in Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District and afterwards as Minnesota’s government, Walz worked as a high school social studies teacher and a basketball manager.
By partnering with Walz as her running girlfriend, Harris could strengthen her help in both Michigan and Wisconsin, two crucial battleground state. According to Fox News, Walz, who serves as the chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, may also help Harris with battle funding.
Fox News reported that the Democratic governor’s liberal policy efforts in Minnesota include gun control legislation, legalizing recreational pot, and maintaining the state’s abortion rules, which allow people to have pregnancies at any stage in a pregnancy.
Walz has spent his presidency trying to restructure Minnesota in the style of the Golden State, according to Harris ‘ hit minister, Karoline Leavitt, who said in a speech,” It’s no wonder that San Francisco Liberal Kamala Harris wants West Coast wannabe Tim Walz as her running partner.”
While Walz claims to be supportive of Americans in the Midwest, Leavitt asserted that rural America is made up of “most rocks and cows,” according to Leavitt. By urging legislation that would allow convicted felons to vote, a carbon-free agenda, and additional regulations for gas-powered cars, Walz is “obsessed with spreading California’s dangerously liberal agenda far and wide,” the press secretary for the Trump campaign warned.
Leavitt added,” If Walz wo n’t tell voters the truth, we will: just like Kamala Harris, Tim Walz is a dangerously liberal extremist, and the Harris-Walz California dream is every American’s nightmare”.
