Nasa forced to delay SpaceX mission: What’s going wrong with Starliner?

Due to ongoing issues with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, NASA has announced a delay in the launch of the SpaceX Crew-9 mission to the International Space Station ( ISS).
Due to malfunctions in the Starliner’s engine system, which sent two Nasa pilots to the ISS in early June, the ship has been docked at the place for the past two weeks. As a result, the transfer time for the objective remains uncertain.
The second group of four ISS team members would take over the recent Crew-8 team on the SpaceX Crew-9 trip, which was originally scheduled for mid-August. Nasa has had to come up with a plan to get the two extra pilots back to Earth because they are still stranded on the ISS.
The Crew-9 release should be delayed until at least until September 24 according to the revised strategy. With just two Crew-8 members remaining, this quest could possibly give Boeing more time to resolve the problems with its spacecraft, allowing it to retrieve the two stranded astronauts.
The US place agency stated in a blog post that” this adjustment gives us more time to finish the return preparing for the agency’s Boeing Crew Flight Test, which is currently docked in the encircling laboratory.”
The Starliner even experienced hydrogen leaks while traveling, in addition to the engine system malfunctions. If the health problems cannot be resolved, the spaceship may have to return robotic.
” Nasa and Boeing continue to examine the aircraft’s preparation, and no decisions have been made regarding Starliner’s profit”, the article continued. A press conference on Wednesday will be held to discuss both the Starliner aircraft and the Crew-9 goal.
