When Akasa turns two, founder-CEO Vinay Dube told workers in a message that the flight is “on the verge of becoming one of the top 30 airlines in the world by the change of this decade.”
Dube assured employees that” we are poised to grow faster than many thought possible” and that Akasa is the only Indian airline in history to reach a firm book order of this size ( 226 MAX ) within 17 months of commencing operations despite uncertainty over aircraft deliveries from troubled Boeing. laying the groundwork for a never-before-seen progress.
Dube had a Town Hall with the aircraft on Wednesday. With a fleet of 24 airplanes at its disposal, the flight employs just under 800 aircraft. This February, Boeing delivered the final MAX to the airline. Pilots are becoming more and more concerned about the airline’s delayed training and extremely low traveling, which have had an impact on their pay checks. During Wednesday’s Town Hall, some pilots raised this problem with the founder-CEO. As a result, Kasa did decide to look into alternatives and see how quickly Boeing can provide the ordered planes.
Funded by later great bull Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Akasa has its first trip from Mumbai to Ahmedabad on Aug 7, 2022. Since then, the flight claims to have flown over 1.1 million passengers. “Akasa Air has registered triple-digit growth and continues to be the fastest-growing aircraft in international aviation history”, it said in a speech.
Dube said:” Two years ago, we embarked on a trip with a perspective to describe air travel, and today, I can happily say that we have safely delivered on our purpose while upholding our commitment to reliability, service excellence and affordability…. In this past year, we have constantly been India’s president in on-time effectiveness while registering greater functional stability, and the lowest customer issues, and delays in the industry. Without the hard work and determination of over 4000 Akasians, who have contributed to our collective accomplishments, these milestones would not have been possible.
Currently connecting 22 domestic and five international cities, Akasa now operates over 900 weekly flights.
