Obaidul Hassan, the chief justice of the Supreme Court, was instructed to retire by protesters who assembled near the court tower in Dhaka, the nation’s capital. Hassan, who was selected to lead the Supreme Court last month, is perceived as a Hasina nationalist.
Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan said,” Why have there been so many activities on the streets?,” during the reading of the Appellate Division on July 4. By putting pressure on the Supreme Court and the High Court through the activity, did you change the decisions?
Chief Justice Hassan immediately requested a full court hearing with all Supreme Court justices from both Supreme Court groups. The protesting students, yet, announced their intention to encircle the High Court’s premises after recognizing that this was a court revolution. Chief Justice Hassan rescheduled the meeting after hearing the scholar opposition and afterwards announced his resignation.
Following a gathering of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement activists at the court, the chief justice made his decision. They also threatened to besiege their homes if their demands were not met.
Asif Nazrul, serving as the legislation assistant to the time state, addressed reporters at the Secretariat. According to Prothomolo, Nazrul said,” We hope the chief justice will know when a large movement demands resignation and how to fulfill that demand.”
Bangladesh Army officers were deployed to maintain order as lots of protesting learners gathered at the Supreme Court’s offices. The military officers were stationed in the main building, invade developing, and different places around the Supreme Court. They urged the protesters to keep calm and avoid harming state home.
84-year-old Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the mind of an interval government on Thursday following the departure of prime minister Sheikh Hasina, who fled to India on Monday amid social unrest in Bangladesh.
