    Pakistan calls for religious ‘tolerance’ on Minorities’ Day

    NEW DELHI: Amid rising strikes on minority groups in Bangladesh, India’s ally on its proper marked Minorities ‘ Day on Sunday with calls to advertise “interfaith cooperation” and” sensitivity” in the country.
    Pakistan leader Zardari “urged all segments of society to inform people about their rights and work for promoting interracial unity, the spirit of love, compassion, brotherhood, and unity to create Pakistan a powerful country”, Dawn reported.
    Our majority group played a significant role in the Pakistan Movement and has been greatly contributing to nation-building, according to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who acknowledged their contribution to the independence struggle.
    In honor of Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s ancient statement from that day in 1947, the government declared August 11 National Minorities Day.
    Sheikh Hasina fled the nation and found shelter in India, and this is at a time when there is widespread violence against immigrants there.
    Numerous Hindu homes and businesses were targeted, and several temples were damaged, according to the Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council ( BHBCUC). While there have been no reported fatalities, the problems have caused lots of accidents.
    Muhammad Yunus, the time leader of Bangladesh and Nobel laureate, criticized the attacks, calling them “heinous.” He urged the children to walk up and prevent Hindu, Christian, and Buddhist people from damage.
    S. Jaishankar, the American government’s foreign minister, stated in a Rajya Sabha statement that the interim Bangladesh government was being discussed frequently.
