See if the Next Battle of Kursk makes sense to us.
The well-attended 1943 Battle of Kursk was the biggest container battle in history, one that will never be eclipsed. Nearly two million European army attacked Kursk in three defensive lines, which Hitler had ordered, and nearly two million of them. During the attack ( including 3, 200 German tanks ) and resulting counterattack ( with 7, 400 Soviet tanks ), the offensive heart was cut out of the Nazi war machine.

In the Second Battle of Kursk*, several battalions ‘ worth of Ukraine Army ( UA) forces ( very rough estimate, maybe 2, 000-3, 000 soldiers ), using drones for airpower, achieved operational surprise and overran Russian conscript troops defending the border at the Kursk Oblast ( region ). More skilled units and even personal soldiers were good recruited from the main battle sites in eastern and southern Ukraine, and UA advances have significantly slowed.
(* I doubt that anyone will ever refer to this as the Next Battle of Kursk. I’m really enjoying it a little bit.
According to ISW,” Russian forces responding to the Ukrainian incursion is likely to be under the doctrinal end strength and ill-prepared to establish the joint command and control ( C2 ) structures necessary to coordinate operations.”
But as I’ve written here before, Russian troops on defense do n’t have to be good, they just have to be there. Even if a man has no training or theory, he must still be killed or rooted up in a ditch using a machine weapons. Officially, Russia is digging a lot of pits.
It appears to be carefully out of reach if the UA intended to seize Kursk and its large nuclear power station. In spite of months of fighting in Ukraine’s south, Ukraine only recently seized a few days more place than Russian troops have. Soviet residents have eluded for tens of thousands. According to various reports, Ukraine has taken between 500 and 1000 Russian POWs for what it mockingly refers to as” the exchange fund” to get Moscow to release captured UA soldiers.

Kiev would have a propaganda victory if it had one that demonstrated that Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, could n’t protect the Motherland entirely.  ,
Russians are also utterly perplexed about the state of the Russian Federation’s sanitary areas this morning. They claim they are purposefully deceiving us, trying to lure us, in every picture the Ukrainian Armed Forces post, and use some sort of subtext in…

Anyone who claims to know what’s going on is lying or deceived because the situation is still liquid.
The Eastern European Theater’s final weeks of the Third World War may have been roughly equivalent to what has been happening, but there may be more or less going on than what appears to be.
The “less” is that the United Arab Emirates might not have the resources to keep the outcome, and that a large-scale attack was not what the Second Battle of Kursk was intended to be. Even if it were just a attack, UA demonstrated the ability to organize a sizable attacking force directly under Moscow’s head and win Russia over. Russian operations and shipping may become more complicated as a result.  ,
Whatever the case, you’re witnessing something special in human history. A nuclear energy has never dared to enter another nuclear power’s country before when its armed forces have done so. Ukraine has risked a “minor incursion” here and there ( by Russian expat troops ), but those were small raids. The UA at least appears to be prepared to hold what it has by digging in areas like Sudzha.
