
The Russian military reported on Tuesday that the most battles to occur in the Pokrovsk front in the area in a single moment in a year, and that Russian forces have increased their attacks on the eastern Ukrainian border over the past 24 hours.
The rise in preventing comes after Ukraine launched a surprise cross-border invasion of Russia’s Kursk region in an effort to distract Russian forces ‘ main offensives in the east, according to some military analysts.
Russian forces have been attempting to progress further and profit from increased troop numbers as they have been trying to do for months in Pokrovsk, which is controlled by Kyiv.
There were 52 fights on the Pokrovsk before, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian military, a discernible increase from figures of between 28 and 42 per day that were reported over the past month.

More than a second of the fights reported along a 1, 000-kilometer top were on the Pokrovsk entrance, according to the Ukrainian reading.
Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 and presently controls 18 % of Russian territory. Prior to the surprise attack on Russia, Ukraine had been losing province to Russian troops.
