Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of Bangladesh’s first president and prime minister Sheikh Hasina, was attacked by a crowd on Thursday as they attempted to enter the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, where he and the majority of his family were killed by a cabal of military officers on August 15, 1975.
The assailants, who were armed with sticks, had been spotted blocking advertising from taking photos and videos and had taken jobs on roads close to the house since the dawn.
