
Joe Biden, the vice president, and Kamala Harris made their second joint appearance on Thursday evening in Maryland. It was their first public appearance since Biden resurrected and nominated Harris to replace him.
The occasion celebrated significant legislative accomplishments, particularly those involving negotiations to reduce prescription drug prices. Additionally, it embodied the change of the Democratic administration.
Biden emphasized his long-standing work to lower prescription costs while preserving his reputation.

Biden’s removal from the race for president was prompted by growing concerns about his era, particularly given his disappointing performance in a discussion with Donald Trump in June. Trump, however, is planning a return to the White House after his lost in 2020.
Kamala Harris secured the Democratic nomination for president, earning overwhelming support from 99 % of the 4, 567 representatives at the Democratic National Convention.
She is the first Asian American woman to lead a significant group seat, and she is also the first woman of color. Harris had chosen Tim Walz as her running mate for the state. Walz, 60, was chosen from a list of individuals who were well-known and from socially beneficial claims.
Trump has named Ohio Senator JD Vance as his possible working partner. Vance would become the second-youngest vice chairman in British history if elected.
