Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refuted says that he and former US President Donald Trump had a discussion about a peace and prisoner arrangement in Gaza. Forbes ‘ report suggested Trump had urged Netanyahu to resolve the conflict with Hamas right away, leading to the rejection.
According to reports, Trump while speaking at a New Jersey media event, said he advised Netanyahu to “get it over with” and stop the violence. Additionally, according to the statement, Trump even rejected the notion that he was pressing Netanyahu against a peace agreement. You want to move it over quickly. Have success, getting your triumph, and get it over with. It has to halt, the shooting has to stop”, Trump was quoted as saying by the Times of Israel.
Additionally, the Axios report suggested that Trump and Netanyahu had spoken about the hostage scenario in a subsequent visit.
Yet, both Netanyahu’s department and Trump have refuted this state. ” Opposed to media reports, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not speak with former President Donald Trump”, a speech from Netanyahu’s department said.
The document, in Axios, cited two US solutions. Trump’s contact, according to one cause, was intended to encourage Netanyahu to accept the deal, but he added that he had no idea what the former president had actually said to Netanyahu. A remark demand was not immediately addressed by the Trump campaign.
Despite these rejections, a fresh round of peace negotiations is set for Thursday, involving Egypt, the US, and Qatar. Netanyahu’s company has confirmed continued negotiations, though Hamas announced it would not join in the speaks, with intermediaries expected to consult with the team afterward.
A peace in Gaza is viewed by the US as essential to avoiding a more extensive Middle Eastern conflict. Following the recent uprisings of Hezbollah military chief Fuad Shukr and Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Iran, both of which sparked threats of retaliation against Israel.
The continuous conflict, sparked by Hamas’s October 7 assault on Israel, has resulted in 1, 200 Israeli deaths and about 250 victims. Israel’s hostile assault on Gaza has caused roughly 40, 000 Arab deaths, displaced nearly 2.3 million people, and led to a severe humanitarian crisis. Israel’s claims of murder have been sent to the World Court, which Israel denies.
