Strong winds fanned wildfires that threatened parts of northwest Turkey, including those that stood at the Gallipoli war site during World War I.
Some people were forced to flee their homes due to the imminent danger of residential areas by a forest fireplace in the west coast state of Izmir, which started late on Thursday in the Karsiyaka area.
    Some persons forced to evacuate
Izmir Governor Suleyman Elban said the blaze in the Karsiyaka city continued despite efforts to contain it using helicopters, aircraft, and other automobiles, adding that a settlement had been evacuated.
More than 1, 000 firefighters were battling the incident.
The treatment is getting more challenging because it is so close to home areas. There is no loss of life until today”, Elban said. ” We know that some homes have burned,” the source said. Since there are winds of up to 80 kilometers ( 49.71 miles ) per hour now, we often have to stop the aerial intervention”, he said, adding efforts would intensify if and when winds eased.
In Canakkale, Manisa, and Bolu, in the northwest of the country, fires were likewise burning. According to the governors of Canakkale and Bolu, some neighborhoods or settlements had been evacuated as a precaution.

However, at the island where an Allied getting was beaten up by Ottoman forces in 1915, the embers reached Canterbury Cemetery, where New Zealand men are interred.
Headstones at the site in northwest Turkey were seen in pictures containing soot-stained remains.
Officials said the fire was started by a fire from power outlines that spread through densely wooded areas, and that it had been managed by Friday.
In recent years, Turkey has experienced fire as summer have gotten hotter and drier, which researchers attribute to weather change.
