Following reports detailing the Governor’s longstanding connections to Chinese Communist Party (CCP ) organizations and officials, House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky. ) today is launching an investigation into Minnesota Governor Timothy Walz, Kamala Harris ‘ recently announced vice-presidential running mate. Chairman Comer is requesting information, documents, and communications in a letter to Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) Director Christopher Wray regarding the CCP-connected entities and officials Governor Walz has engaged in and partnered with, as well as any warnings or recommendations the FBI may have made to Governor Walz regarding U.S. political figures being targeted by or recruited for CCP influence operations.
Through planned impact and penetration campaigns that target everyone in America, including our own elected officials, the CCP has aimed to destroy the country. The vice-presidential running mate of Kamala Harris, Governor Walz, has a historic and friendly relationship with China, so Americans may be deeply concerned. Mr. Walz has travelled to China numerous times, spoke with the President of a Chinese firm that the State Department claimed was a CCP plot to control and co-opt regional leaders, and held positions there as a brother. FBI briefers just informed the Committee that the Bureau’s Foreign Influence Task Force looks into CCP action that is comparable to that of China’s relationship with Governor Walz. Chairman James Comer remarked that the American people deserve to totally understand how profound Governor Walz’s ties to China are.

All fair play from Comer, but more generally I do n’t like how many on the right frame the problem because China is undoubtedly a pernicious influence and Walz is an imminently corrupt liar.
China’s main issue is not that it buys American politicians; rather, why would n’t it buy the leadership of its main geopolitical foes to exert its influence?
The issue is that British politicians— and organizations, and advertising, and real estate — can be bought by international pursuits in in the first place.
Consider, for example, COVID-19. Trump refers to it as the” China virus,” which is accurate because it was created in China.
But where did the money for the gain-of-function studies come from? From straight here in the USA, funneled by Fauci through a dark American “nonprofit” called EcoHealth Alliance.
All the Chinese money in the world wo n’t matter if you shut off the influence network at its feet and prosecute the compromised CCP agents within the United States.
