Officials in Pokrovsk, an eastern Russian town residence to 53, 000 people, have ordered the removal of all families with children. The attempt, announced on Monday, comes as Russian troops fast approach the state’s outskirts.
Due to the rapid advance of Russian troops toward the town, the necessary evacuation order was issued on Monday.
Donetsk government Vadym Filashkin stated that” we are starting the required departure of families with children from the Pokrovsk community.”
Pokrovsk has long been a destination for the Russian army because it intersects a major road that supplies Russian troops and towns across the southeast front.
Officials have emphasized that individuals are required to leave Pokrovsk and the surrounding towns.
