    US Airman dies while deployed under Operation Inherent Resolve

    Last week, a United States Airman died while deploying to help Operation Inherent Resolve at an unknown location.

    According to a Cannon Air Force Base hit transfer, 28-year-old U. S. Air Force&nbsp, Staff Sgt. Tristen Wright of Palm Bay, Florida, died on Thursday due to a non-combat associated incident that occurred at an unknown location. Officials from the Department of Defense noted that an investigation is being conducted into the catastrophic event.

    As part of Operation Inherent Resolve, the 28-year-old infantryman was stationed with the 27th Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. According to the government’s website, Operation Inherent Resolve is a goal involving a joint task force assisting, advising, and enabling U. S. companion forces in securing the “lasting battle of ISIS” and establishing an “enduring security assistance framework”.

    In the government’s hit release, U. S. Air Force Maj. Brent Escay, 27th Special Operations Logistics and Readiness Squadron captain, described Wright as a “force for great within the 27 SOLRS and beyond”.

    According to the media release, Wright enlisted in the Air Force on August 23, 2016 and has been working with the 27th Special Operations Logistics and Readiness Squadron as a equipment management consultant since 2019. Wright was assigned to the Japanese military’s Kadena Air Force Base’s 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron from 2017 to 2019. According to the press release, Wright had formerly been deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Resolute Support.

    Col. Robert Johnston, the chief of the 27th Special Operations Wing, said,” These are our most difficult time. Tristen’s favorable influence was felt by the whole Cannon family and the surrounding area. Tristen’s home and other friends who have been affected by this tragedy are in our hearts. His family and friends are still in our thoughts and prayers.

    Wright’s military accessories include a U. S. Air and Space Force Commendation Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Medal, a U. S. Air Force Achievement Medal with two elm leaves cluster and” C” products, a National Defense Service Medal, and an Air Force Good Conduct Medal with one wood plant grouping.
