Elon Musk launched an informal poll on X, pitting Donald Trump against Kamala Harris as the next US president.
He wrote in the post,” Here goes a very scientific poll, because a lot of people have asked… Who did you vote for”?
Recent studies suggest a competitive contest between the two candidates as the results of this ballot come to light. Harris has been winning in key battleground state and gaining popularity among young voters, but Musk’s surveys reveals a considerable taste for Trump among his 195.2 million supporters.
The poll, which has garnered over 1.47 million votes so far, shows Trump leading with 78.1 % of the vote compared to Harris’s 21.9 %.
Musk, who has previously endorsed Trump in new discussions, identified as a previously moderate Democrat and motivated moderates to back Trump over Joe Biden.
Why it concerns
Musk’s surveys contrasts with recent surveys that show Harris is increasingly popular in battleground states and has a record-high direct in regular surveys. Despite Harris’s rising popularity, some business leaders view Trump as the more business-friendly option for the 2024 election, aligning with Musk’s surveys results.
