The governing bodies are putting a new set of lockdowns on the silliest of notions if you live in one of the four Massachusetts towns.

Four Massachusetts cities — Douglas, Oxford, Sutton and Webster — have enacted a deliberate night lockdown in an attempt to curb the spread of a possibly fatal mosquito-borne condition.
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health ( DPH) made the decision after Worcester County’s first human case of Eastern equine encephalitis ( EEE ) was confirmed in 2020.
On Wednesday, the Oxford Board of Health voted to help the advice for people to remain home after 6: 00 p. m., successful quickly, through Sept. 30, according to a public health expert shared with Fox News Digital.
Starting on Oct. 1, the suggestion is to be home after 5: 00 p. m. until the first hard snow.
Given that COVID actually reread the description of “vaccine” to fit with mRNA shots over the course of history, this fact is mostly lost in history, especially in light of the fact that blanket lockdowns in the face of a pandemic have never been a standard operating procedure, let alone for a second case of a virus that has existed for centuries, infections that occur in a small handful of patients every year and are not human-to-human communicable.

By catching an infected mosquito, eastern equine encephalitis virus travels through the body.
In the United States, only a small number of cases are reported annually. The majority of cases occur in states along the eastern or Gulf Coast.
Although rare, eastern equine encephalitis is very serious. Eastern equine encephalitis causes about 30 % of deaths, and many of those who survive continue to have neurologic issues. Symptoms of eastern equine encephalitis can include fever, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, seizures, behavioral changes, and drowsiness.
There are neither vaccines nor treatments for eastern equine encephalitis.
By avoiding mosquito bites, you can lower your chance of getting infected with eastern equine encephalitis virus.
The local government refers to these measures as “voluntary,” but the details are the trick. Right now, accessing public lands requires a permission slip and proof of insurance.
Continuing:
The lockdowns are considered recommendations, and there will be no enforcement if residents do not comply, the town spokesperson said.
We want to educate our residents about EEE, the seriousness of the illness, and make them aware of the danger, the statement continued.
” However, if they want to use town fields outside these recommendations, they will have to show proof of insurance and sign an indemnification form”.
