    To Save Democracy, Kamala Harris Has to Lose

    Some Democrats in the Democratic Party pushed for an empty selection process for Joe Biden after his forced resignation. Yet after Joe Biden endorsed Kamala, which led many in the group to fall in line and form a consensus around her, some party leaders, including Barack Obama, have publicly called for such a process.

    Though he did n’t say it directly, the obvious point here is that to save democracy, Kamala Harris has to lose. Then, the Democratic Party’s elites will feel pressured to choose their candidate despite their own electoral laws.
