According to Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, about 200 police officers were on the lookout for a person who attempted to start fire on a church in the southern European area of La Grande-Motte on Saturday. The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office reported in a speech that two cars parked at the Beth Yaacov temple complex in the seafront resort town of La Grande Motte near Montpellier were set on fire shortly after 8am on Saturday. Additional fires were discovered by paramedics at two church entrances. A propane gas tank in one of the vehicles detonated, according to the speech, and a police officer who walked up to the page was hurt. Five individuals, including the pastor, who were existing in the temple complex at the time of the assault, were uninjured, it added.
