In fiscal 2025, Japan will launch a new initiative to help single women who are moving to remote areas to get married in response to the declining population of young ladies in the land.
According to the options, the state will pay for women’s expenses if they move to the area and cover the costs of their journey from Tokyo to remote areas, according to the sources. Greater Tokyo has recently seen a higher flood of women than men. People from rural areas who relocate to Tokyo for work or education are more likely to live permanently in the city than to their communities or other areas outside of Tokyo, according to a federal official.
In remote areas, there is a gap between the number of single people and one people. The 2020 nationwide survey revealed that across 46 out of Japan’s 47 regions, excluding Tokyo, the entire population of single people aged 15 to 49 was nearly 9.1 million, which is about 20 % lower than the 11.1 million individual people in the same age bracket. In some counties, the distance was as high as 30 %.
A major concern is being faced by the declining number of young women in rural areas to stop depopulation. The government has come to the conclusion that it is crucial to provide targeted assistance to single people who want to relocate to the landscape.
Japan is in the grip of a significant demographic crisis, with delivery rates at an all-time low next year. Just 727, 277 babies were recorded, and the fertility rate stood at 1.20, substantially below the 2.1 required to maintain a stable people, as per The Independent.
