Donald Trump visited Arlington National Cemetery on Monday to throw a wreath next to the bodies of the 13 troops killed in the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan on August 26, 2021. He had requested the funeral of the deceased’s community in Arlington.

As Trump aides made their way into Area 60 of the tomb, where new casualties had been laid to rest, a man, apparently an official with the cemetery, tried to actually prevent them from entering. Campaign activities may only be filmed by tomb personnel, according to a strict policy at the cemetery.
What happened next is questionable. What’s certain is that there was a real confrontation of some kind. The Trump plan denies that there was a real confrontation.
Steven Cheung, a spokesman for the Trump campaign, said:” We are prepared to launch footage if such disparaging claims are made.
” The fact is that a private shooter was permitted on the premises, and for whatever purpose, an unknown person, evidently suffering from a mental health episode, decided to actually prevent members of President Trump’s team during a very grave ceremony,” Cheung said in the statement.
Individuals are prohibited from holding campaign events at regional graves by federal law. A graveyard national confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that the tomb “reaffirmed and broadly shared this legislation and its restrictions with all participants” during the Monday event.  ,

The home has invited Trump to attend the ceremony, which adds to the dilemma. According to Chong, Cheung thinks it was permitted because the people requested Trump’s appearance.  ,
Trump was aware of the discussion and did not participate in the incident.
Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign aide, claimed on X that the organization was “given permission to have a photographer it.” ” Some family members of the fallen service members who Trump honored even posted a speech in which he was greeted.  ,
They requested Donald Trump, and Vance thanked God that our country now has a president who supports soldiers. He added that there was n’t a story in the media.  ,
After Vance’s remarks at the rally, a representative for Harris did n’t immediately respond to a request for comment. In a previous interview, Harris campaign spokesman Michael Tyler stated in a CNN interview that the encounter was “pretty terrible,” but that he thought it was not unexpected coming from the Trump team.
A mistake between excessive Trump aides and Arlington officers was a part of the discussion. Campaign advisers are paid to carry out directions violently, and when they’re told the manager wants a image, they will get that photo come hell or high water. A little old lady who was blocking the view of a TV camera was being pushed aside by aides, I’ve witnessed.  ,

However, the Arlington official was standing. Although he was probably less polite than he ought to have been, the law is the law, and even if the families wanted Trump there, they did n’t have the authority to veto the regulations and permit a campaign photographer to capture video or pictures.
” Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she wo n’t even do an investigation into what happened,” Vance said, responding to a reporter’s question about the incident”, and she wants to yell at Donald Trump because he showed up.”
After a pause, he said”, She can go to hell. ”  ,
