In a CNN exclusive interview with Dana Bash today, Vice President Kamala Harris explained in detail why her positions on fracking and immigration have changed, highlighting that her core principles have n’t changed in policy. The meeting comes just before the US presidential vote, which is scheduled for November of this year. Harris and her going mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, discussed her view on pressing issues and future plans.
Values unchanged despite policy shifts
During the meeting, Harris addressed concerns about her scheme reversals, especially her stance on fracking. My values have not changed, in my opinion, and I think the most crucial and important feature of my plan perspective and decisions are.
In her previous position, Harris remarked,” I have always believed – and I have worked on it – that the climate crisis is true, that it is an urgent matter to which we should use measures, including holding ourselves to deadlines around day.” Despite her earlier pledge to boycott shale, she cited the Inflation Reduction Act of the Biden administration as proof of her continued commitment to climate change.
Harris even discussed her changing views on immigration, highlighting her history as California Attorney General, where she prosecuted groups involved in cross-border prostitution. ” My beliefs have no changed”, she asserted, attributing her policy changes to the practical experience gained during her tenure as evil leader.
On her weather plan, Kamala said,” There’s no question I’m in favor of banning drilling, and starting with what we can do on Day 1 around open land”.
Commitment to various management
Looking back, Harris expressed her purpose to develop diverse ideas within her administration. ” I think it’s really essential”, she said, discussing her willingness to involve a Republican in her Cabinet if elected. It would be beneficial for the American people to have a Republican-majority member of my Cabinet because I have spent my profession inviting a variety of opinions.
Reply to Trump’s comment
Harris even addressed recent comments made by former president Donald Trump, who questioned her cultural identity. Dismissing Trump’s comment as” similar old, weary playbook”, Harris remained focused on the issues at hand, saying,” Next question, please”.
