After suspending his third-party political campaign and backing Democratic presidential hopeful President Trump, Robert F. Kennedy filed a complaint against the North Carolina State Board of Elections to have his name removed from the state’s vote.
Kennedy wanted to remain on the ballot in both safe Democratic and Republican states, but he did n’t want to spoil the battleground states, according to Fox News.
Kennedy fought to have his” We the People party” candidate’s name on the North Carolina ballot over the summer. In a 3-2 decision, the North Carolina State Board of Elections, but, rejected Kennedy’s new ask to have his name taken off the ballot.
The table explained that reprinting almost 2 million votes would cost considerable money, with the absentee ballot date set for September 6. In addition, roughly 2 million votes have already been printed in 67 of 100 counties.
Karen Brinson Bell, the board’s executive director, made a comment about the difficulty of the vote printing process, noting that pressing” copy” on a Xerox system. This method is much more complicated and multifaceted.
Kennedy suspended his campaign in response to the claim that he could also be chairman if neither Trump nor Harris received the necessary 270 electoral votes. He appeared alongside Trump at a protest in Glendale, Arizona, on August 23.
At the rally, Kennedy posed a series of questions to the audience, saying,” Do n’t you want a president who’s going to protect America’s freedoms and who is going to protect us against totalitarianism? Do n’t you want a safe environment for your children? Do you want them to know that the food you give them wo n’t contain harmful chemicals that will cause them to develop chronic illnesses and cancer? And do n’t you want a president that’s going to make America healthy again”?
