Trump is accused of being a risk to the Constitution in her long article, and she then contends that the Constitution itself is harmful because” Trump owes his democratic rise to the Constitution, making him a recipient of a file that is essentially antidemocratic and, in this day and age, becoming increasingly dysfunctional.”

And from there, she cites novels and scholars that argue for abolishing the Constitution. She cites Berkeley Law dean Erwin Chemerinsky’s  , latest book,” No Republic Lasts Forever”, in which he argues that the Constitution’s strength endangers the country and also explores the possibility of independence, with red and blue state cutting up to form their own places.  ,
