A petition petition asking for the former prime minister Sheikh Hasina‘s Awami League to be banned from its website and its enrollment was abruptly rejected by Bangladesh’s High Court on Sunday due to its alleged participation in killings during the student-led mass upsurge. A couch of Justices AKM Asaduzzaman and Md Mahbubul Islam said the interim government was” genuine” about prosecuting those who had ordered that activists be shot at during the demonstration. It said people, not the gathering, committed this crime.
Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman pleaded with the court during the hearing, stating that the current leadership had no intention of outlawing any social organization.
