On Friday, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas will visit our roster for a one-on-one conversation with Laura Barrón-López, the White House correspondent for” PBS News Hour.” The conversation will center on the agency’s efforts to protect us from threats. Their talk is at 5: 15 p. m. on Friday, Sept. 6, at the Paramount Theatre.
In 2021, Mayorkas took the oath of office as land security minister. His 30-year job includes practicing law in the personal business and as the attorney for the Central District of California. He held the positions of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services from 2009 to 2013 as the assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
