Former US president Donald Trump made the pledge in a big financial conversation on Thursday that, if elected this November, he would establish a “government efficiency commission” led by X-owner Elon Musk.
The 2024 GOP presidential nominee said in an address to The Economic Club of New York that” this fee will be tasked with conducting a complete economic and efficiency assessment of the entire federal state and making recommendations for major measures.”
The Washington Post reported that Trump was thinking about forming a group of leading business leaders to identify and reduce wasteful state programs weeks after the announcement.
The former president endorsed lowering the corporate tax rate to 15 % for businesses that “make their products in America,” which is less than the policycenter.org/briefing-book/how-did-tax-cuts-and-jobs-act-change-business-taxes” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>current 21 percent set by the Republicans ‘ 2017 Tax Cut and Jobs Act. ( The previous rate was 35 percent ). He even made a pledge to reduce at least 10 federal regulations for every fresh one introduced, expanding on a policy that was put in place during his first word.
Trump said,” I took care of our business like I did take care of my own business in every decision. ” I asked, did I make jobs here, or did I become sending jobs elsewhere? Does it increase America’s wealth and power, or will it result in weaker and less prosperous America? … I often put America first.
The Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous policies highlighted the financial anguish of Americans as the Republican nomination took advantage of the opportunity. Contrasting his eyesight with that put forward by Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump noted the 2024 Democrat nominee’s support for” socialist price controls, wealth confiscation, energy death, restitution”, and “mass asylum and citizenship for tens of millions of workers who will take trillions of dollars in national benefits and kill Social Security and Medicare”.
” I am promising small taxes, lower regulations, lower energy prices, low interest rates, secure borders, low, low crime and surging revenues for individuals of every race, religion, color and creed”, Trump said. ” My plan will rapidly defeat inflation, quickly bring down prices and reignite explosive economic growth” . ,
The previous president more promised to change the “anti-energy” directives of the Biden-Harris leadership by instituting” a plan of energy abundance, energy independence and also energy dominance”. In order for him to win the election this fall, he would need to issue a “national emergency declaration to achieve a massive increase in domestic energy supply.”
