In an interview with the Republican Jewish Partnership on Thursday, former president Donald Trump made disturbing predictions about Israel’s coming if Vice President Kamala Harris were to win the presidency.
Speaking to the party in Las Vegas, Trump said,” If they win, Israel is gone. Just remember that. If they win, Israel is gone”. He urged Israeli citizens to support him, arguing that failing to do so would result to a “very bad position” for Israel.
Trump’s speech was heightened during the speech because he had previously criticized and questioned Israeli Democrats ‘ support for Israel. He suggested that Harris supporters ‘ “heads should be examined,” as per his ongoing criticism of Israeli Democrats and their support for President Joe Biden.
The former president acknowledged the hostages ‘ deaths by mistakenly calling one of the six Israeli hostages” Hersh Goldman” before making up his own. He reaffirmed his opinion that recent Israeli attacks would n’t have taken place under his presidency and vowed to keep America as a steadfast ally of Israel.
In reaction, the Harris plan condemned Trump’s comments as insulting and dangerous. Morgan Finkelstein, a spokeswoman for Trump, accused him of demeaning Jews in public and obstructing radical opinions. ” Donald Trump boldly demeans Israeli Americans, happily dined with a neo-Nazi, and apparently thinks Adolf Hitler ‘ did some good things,'” Finkelstein said. He praised neo-Nazis who chanted” Jews will never change us” as “very good people” and said the only individuals he wants counting his money are” little men wearing yarmulkes.”
Harris, whose husband Doug Emhoff is Hebrew, reaffirmed her devotion to Israel’s surveillance and right to defend itself, contrasting her position with Trump’s notes.
