If Donald Trump is elected president, he told Israeli donors on Thursday that if he won, US universities would drop accreditation and federal support for what he called “antisemitic propaganda.”
In Las Vegas, Trump addressed a crowd of more than 1, 000 Republican Jewish Coalition donors, saying” colleges may and may end the racist propaganda or they will shed their accreditation and national support.”
In the spring, protests erupted on college campuses, with kids voicing opposition to Israel’s military offensive in Gaza and repressing organizations to stop doing business with Israeli-backed organizations.
Republicans have claimed that the demonstrations demonstrate that some Democrats are antisemites who favor panic. Authorities have badly labeled their condemnation of Israel’s policies as racist, according to protest groups.
The Association of American Universities, which says it represents some 69 leading US colleges, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The federal government oversees the largely private organizations that grant college accreditation in the United States, but it does not immediately register universities.

Harris has strongly endorsed President Joe Biden’s sturdy support for Israel and rejected suggestions from some in the Democrat Party that Washington should reconsider sending arms to Israel because of the high death toll of Palestinians in Gaza.
She has, nevertheless, called for a ceasefire in Gaza, calling the circumstance that “devastating”.
