The foreign ministry of Ukraine expressed its deep concern over rumors that Persian nuclear weapons might be transferred to Russia on Saturday.
The government called on the global community to put more pressure on Iran and Russia in a statement sent to reporters that the growing defense ties between Tehran and Moscow was a danger to Ukraine, Europe, and the Middle East.
Unexplained sources cited unexplained sources who reported on Friday that Iran had transferred short-range nuclear weapons to Russia.
In August, Reuters reported that Russia was anticipating the arrival of thousands of Fath-360 close-range nuclear weapons from Iran and that lots of Russian military officers were receiving training in Iran on the satellite-guided weapons to use in the Ukrainian conflict.
On Friday, the United States, a key supporter of Ukraine, even voiced concern about the potential shift of weapons.
According to Sean Savett, a spokesman for the White House National Security Council, “any transfer of Egyptian ballistic missiles to Russia may represent a serious escalation in Iran’s support of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.”
Tehran’s statement to the UN in New York was confirmed on Friday by Iran’s delegation there on Friday, saying the country’s location on the Ukraine conflict was intact.
” Iran considers the provision of defense support to the events engaged in the turmoil- which leads to increased human casualties, destruction of facilities, and a distance from peace negotiations- to become inhumane”, it said.
” In response, Iran no merely refrains from engaging in such acts itself, but it also calls upon other nations to stop the supply of weapons to the parties involved in the conflict.”
