McALLEN, Texas ( Border Report )— Border authorities in South Texas have been warned that a lion got free from a park in Reynosa, Mexico, and could possibly cross to the United States.

The tiger’s escape from Quinta La Fauna park is a mystery. However, the park is presently closed until further notice, according to the museum’s Facebook website.

El Mayo, the president of the Sinaloa cartel, is still present in Texas.

The park is located near the banks of the Rio Grande in Reynosa, which is north of Hidalgo, Texas.

According to KVEO, the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s office has issued an alert to its representatives and residents regarding the prodigal cat and is urging them to use caution when approaching him.

” We have advised our delegates to be vigilant”, Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Lt. Enrique Longoria told KVEO.

Tigers are excellent athletes and have webbed hands. Tigers can float up to seven yards in a day, according to several animal companies.

The Rio Grande is less than 50 miles across from Reynosa to Hidalgo, Texas.

More than 200 remarks have been posted to the museum’s Facebook page, many of which express concern for both the tiger’s heath and well-being as well as for nearby homes and businesses.

A number of people have expressed concern about how an animal might evade the aquarium. The pets are kept in cages, according to some, and could be held in more compassionate settings.

No official opinion has come, but, from the Reynosa president’s office on the event.

Border Report has also reached out to Border Patrol and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to find out if any officers or agents have issued any particular orders or protocols as a result of the prodigal lion.

If more details are requested, this history may be updated.
