China opted out of the” Blueprint for Action” partnership, which prohibits the use of artificial intelligence in nuclear weapons. The agreement was signed at the Seoul summit of Responsible AI in the Military Domain ( REAIM ) on Tuesday, which attracted representatives from over 100 nations, including the US.
The agreement seeks to “maintain people manage and involvement for all actions… regarding nuclear weapons work.”

The summit’s charter did not list any punishment or penalties for violations.
It stressed the need for further debate to come up with clear rules and procedures and acknowledged that considerable progress is required for says to keep up with advancements in military AI.
The Seoul conference, co-hosted by Britain, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Kenya, builds on the annual event held in The Hague in February next year. It claims to be the “most comprehensive and inclusive app for addressing AI in the military domain.”
