Due to medical issues that would put her and the child’s life in danger, Selena Gomez said on Monday that she ca n’t carry a child.
” I have n’t ever said this, but I unfortunately ca n’t carry my own children”, she told Vanity Fair in a story published Monday. ” I have a lot of medical problems that had put my life and the mother’s in danger.” I had to mourn over that for a while.
Gomez, 32, has recently spoken publicly about her desire to have kids despite the possible health problems. She had a kidney transplant in 2017 according to lupus complications and has recently had chemotherapy to cure the inflammatory disease lupus. She likewise takes two medications to treat her depressive illness.
” I’m in a much better position with that”, she told Vanity Fair. I find it a gift that there are great people who are willing to perform surrogacy or implementation, which are both fantastic options for me. The different sources for people who are dying to get mothers made me feel incredibly grateful. I’m one of those citizens”.
The” Only Murders in the Building” star said in an interview with Rolling Stone in November 2022 that she was worried about carrying her personal kids, telling the publication,” that’s a pretty great, big, provide thing in my life” but that “however I’m meant to have them, I will”.
In Monday’s discussion, Gomez also spoke about her relationship with partner Benny Blanco, which she confirmed in December 2023. Blanco told the number on Howard Stern’s radio show that he hopes to marriage Gomez one morning and appeared on the show a few months later.
