Despite regional authorities finding no proof of the violence, previous president Donald Trump claimed that Haitian immigrants who had resettled in Springfield, Ohio, were abducting and eating domestic animals like animals and birds.

Trump doubled down on the assertion, initially shared by his running mate, Sen. J. D. Vance (R-OH), on social media, at his first and possible even argument against Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday night, adding that he intended to “find” the people he claimed were abusing the species.

” Many towns do n’t want to talk about it because they feel so embarrassed,” he said. In Springfield, they’re eating the pups, the people that came in, they’re eating the cat. They’re eating — they’re eating the animals of the people that live it”, Trump said at the ABC News conversation in Philadelphia. What they have done to our state by allowing these millions and millions of people to enter our nation and seek out what is happening in towns across the country. And a lot of towns do n’t want to talk”.

David Muir, the co-host of the ABC News conversation, responded that the area manager of Springfield has refuted information that any creatures were being “harmed, injured, or exploited” by workers who had come to the country after entering the country.

” Well, I’ve seen folks on television, the people on television say,’ My puppy was taken and used for foods,'” said Trump. ” We’ll get out”.

Billionaire Elon Musk, proprietor of X, has also&nbsp, shared the claim&nbsp, on his social internet store.

Immigration&nbsp, topped&nbsp, voting issues in the Democratic presidential primary earlier this year and continues to be a big issue in the general election. The GOP also thinks it can win the election by tying Harris to the drop, which has been a record low in recent months.

Recent polls suggest that Trump is losing ground to Harris in the race to win the election on immigration after her recent transition from the front to the center on the subject and drop–drop in illegal immigration at the southern boundary.

Harris ‘ campaign has rebuffed her previous opposition to the boundary wall and suggested that she would support some money this summer despite Biden’s decision to terminate deals that were funded by the government when he took office in 2021.

However, a quiz Harris completed in 2019 that showed her earlier help for reducing expat confinement by 50 %, preventing federal immigration officials from cooperating with local police, and providing trans care for illegal immigrants in confinement reappeared on Tuesday.

Harris’s official asserted in a Fox News interview on Tuesday that the survey was” hardly what she is proposing or running on” despite the change in her opinion.

Since launching his second presidential campaign in June 2015, Trump has established himself as the front-runner for border security. Trump notably threatened the Mexican cartels when making his campaign announcement, and he has since campaigned against immigrant crime in response.
