A violent South American gang known as Tren de Aragua ( TDA ), a gang from Venezuela, has seized control of New York City’s immigration crisis by gaining access to neighborhood shelters and neighborhoods. The group’s sharp surge has brought a wave of violent violence, including weapons trafficking, robbery, and prostitution, leaving common New Yorkers and even the city’s elite police force overwhelmed.
TDA is hiding in plain sight, the New York Post published an in-depth analysis of how the dangerous group is operating from the darkness of immigrant tents and camp places. The crew terrorizes Gotham with weapons and mopeds, operating trafficking rings and selling illegal weapons to shelter security. Additionally, they are infamous for selling a destructive drug combination known as Tussi or “pink cocaine,” which contributes to the state’s expanding fentanyl problem.
Joseph Kenny, the NYPD’s Chief of Detectives, acknowledged the gang’s capacity to “hide in ordinary sight” within the immigrant community. ” No every migrant is here to commit crimes, not every migratory is a group part”, Kenny stated,” but these TDA men hide very well”. He described how crew members have gone as far as using supply bags and wearing Google Eats clothing while engaging in criminal activity. Despite detention, the crew members remain tight-lipped about TDA’s activities.
The group’s title, which translates to” Coach from Aragua” after a Colombian position, is becoming legendary across the town. Jackson Heights, especially the span of Roosevelt Avenue, has become a hotspot for TDA’s illegal activities, including an open-air black market and a flourishing trafficking ring. New police attacks have linked a 24-hour house to the group’s activities, adds The Post.
TDA’s increase in New York has coincided with a rise in violent crimes, some committed by workers. According to reports from law enforcement, nearly two dozen military thefts have been carried out by youth, typically between the ages of 15 and 19 years older. These young gang members take aim at both New Yorkers who do n’t think much of them.
A robbery crew connected to TDA was just disbanded by the NYPD, which arrested or identified nearly two dozen immigrant teenagers accountable for 21 separate robberies. One target described being assaulted by up to 10 intruders:” They wanted all … They started and punched me to the face”, he said, recounting how he tried to fight back but was overwhelmed.
TDA crew people have shown much respect for law enforcement, also targeting police officers. Bernardo Castro Mata, a 19-year-old gang member, was detained in Queens in June after he shot two Police officers during a robbery test. Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, 15, was detained earlier this year after allegedly firing at a holiday and police commander in Times Square. Additionally, another workers who allegedly have TDA connections have attacked NYPD personnel.
