WWE has had its fair share of controversy since its inception over four decades ago. Vince McMahon himself has faced a number of lawsuits over the years, with some even dating back to the late 80s. 1 ) During a theater fight, Vince McMahon allegedly asked Shane McMahon to punch him.
Paul Heyman made it known that Vince McMahon after allegedly asked Shane McMahon to attack him. According to reports, Shane had an idea about everything he wanted to do on the show, but Vince was unconvinced by it. Vince stated to Shane that the only way this may occur was “over his dead system.” Therefore, in a bid to accomplish his goals, he handed Shane a weapon and demanded that he stab him. Vince McMahon has been accused of being ridiculous, but he certainly deserves praise for asking his own child to kill him for making a wise choice.
2 ) Vince had his boxers working 7 days a week
Vince’s athletes were almost always taking no breaks during the first days of the WWE, when it was still known as the World Wrestling Federation. Vince’s business was only just beginning to expand, so he and the rest of the athletes had a lot of work to do.
While people embraced Vince when the game first started to flourish, they later switched to WCW, where they offered better pay and a better work environment. WCW allowed the athletes to pick and choose when they wanted to work, whereas Vince had his soldiers traveling for 365 times a year. This was a significant factor in the Monday Night Wars and the renowned 83 months that WCW spent dominating the wrestling scene. The WCW might have never grown as big as it did if Vince had treated his athletes more like true employees rather than tools that were to be used year-round.
3 ) Vince McMahon frequently booked skills in their hometowns to lose.
All is aware of the notorious Montreal Screw incident in which Vince McMahon duped Bret Hart and demanded that he forfeit the World War One Championship in Montreal, Canada. As it turns out, Hart was n’t the only one who was made to lose in his hometown. Matt Hardy made the revelation earlier this year that Vince frequently booked athletes to take a drop in their home.
This allegedly generated a lot of heat, which Vince believes could be used to increase revenue and assist his boxers grow bigger stars. Therefore, Vince was making too much money for himself while the wrestlers suffered shame by losing in front of their house audiences.
4 ) Vince McMahon is exactly the same person as his on-screen character, Mr. McMahon
Vince’s personality, Mr. McMahon, that was born and took off during the Attitude Era, was fresh and exciting to the audience. Mr. McMahon is one of the most feared personalities in the background of grappling, which is natural, considering some of the items Vince did as Mr. McMahon were quite awful.
But, Mr. McMahon was not something new for those who had worked closely with Vince for a while. 5 ) Vince once ordered Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins to retake a game because he was unhappy with the outcome.
Seth Rollins made the revelation during a discussion on the E&, C radio that Vince McMahon again made him almost leave the WWE. Seth was pleased with how well he had fared with Kofi Kingston. Vince McMahon was quite rude to Seth Rollins and was angry with him, though. Rollins recalls how Vince yelled at him and called him over before forcing him and Kofi to grapple once more.
Seth claims that this caused him to want to leave the show because he was n’t at ease with it. Luckily, Rollins compromised and got on with the present. If he had left, next Vince’s pride would’ve ended up costing WWE one of their biggest stars in recent years.
