A few months ago, I read a book for a children’s book team called Romantic Comedy. It was about — you guessed it — romance and comedy, especially in the life of its one, 36-year-old female protagonist, her career as a writer for “SNL” analog” The Night Owls”, and the phenomenon of humorous, dirty men wooing women much hotter than they are but humorous, ugly women struggling to pull off the reverse.

The ultimate message is accidentally conservative ( Spoiler! ), despite the entire tone of Romantic Comedy being leftist, even down to its worn-out Covid plotline. ): It does n’t matter how much of an independent, successful# BossB-tch you are, inside each woman is a biological urge to find the stability of a husband and, though the story does n’t get this far, leave a legacy of children. Sally Millz, the hero, gives up part of herself by leaving her career at” TNO” and marries the adult main character against all odds. She is aware that her job will not bring her the same happiness as marriage can.

Since Democrats turned J. D. Vance’s decades-old remarks about” single rabbit women” into both a victim cards and a rallying cry, this guide has been circling my head. Vance’s point was that America, through the Democrat Party and their corporate friends, is run largely by people” who do n’t really have a direct stake in it” and who are “miserable]in ] their own lives”.

Oprah Winfrey, who is unmarried and childless, focused on Vance’s remarks in a cringey talk at the Democratic National Convention, making sure to pause for senseless acclaim. At the Emmy Awards, Selena Gomez mentioned the word. And, of course, Taylor Swift proudly signed her presidential endorsement of Kamala Harris as a” Childless Cat Lady” herself, after which the media have been” YASSSSS QUEEN”-ing for two weeks.

However, J. D. Vance is correct that Taylor Birds are aware of the value of having people. Do you know how I know? Because behind Swift’s witty, election-year Instagram blog is a 34-year-old person who’s much dreamed of getting married and having children.

    Taylor Swift’s Mommy Lust

Even if you hate Taylor Swift, you ca n’t help but have heard her song” Love Story“, which is all about a couple planning to wed. Then there’s” Paper Rings“, about not needing “fancy things” to marry someone you love. Or” Mary’s Song”, from Swift’s namesake song, which includes this verse:

Bring me back to the time we first crossed the hall.
Our entire city arrived, and our mothers cried.
You stated that I do, and I did also.
Bring me back to the place where we first met thus long ago.
On that front door, we’ll have our babies to play on.
After all this day, you and I
    I’ll get eighty-seven, you’ll get eighty-nine
I’ll also have a star-filled view of you.
    In the sky

But that was n’t just the dream of 16-year-old Swift. Her 2020 track” Peace” strives to “give you my crazy, give you a child”. And the picture for the title track of her” Fan” record shows Sharp thinking of a home, father, and little one.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly want to get married and have children” sooner rather than later” even now. For a proud childless cat lady, that would be a very domestical thing.

    A Culture of Selfishness

The” Childless Cat Lady” moniker has since become a popularized image of a supposedly powerful choice, but reality reveals it’s not. Even if their lavish DINK lifestyles eventually make them aware of it, women can never help but admit it.

Many women in their thirties and forties are grasping at artificial reproductive methods, which ultimately contribute to a culture of death, and so many women in their twenties and thirties are rushing to freeze their eggs. After all, many of the lives that these desperate women save through IVF will end up in landfills. It’s all part and parcel of the same culture of selfishness.

Melissa Persling is currently paying the price for that culture, having penned an article in Business Insider last year titled,” I’m 38 and single, and I recently realized I want a child. I’m terrified I’ve missed my opportunity”. After splitting up with an older man who did n’t want children, Persling wrote:” After the divorce, she ultimately chose not to have children because he ultimately wanted them to have children.”

I also started to feel egotistical after putting so much time in focusing solely on myself. I realized there was more to life than just independence and the pleasures of living for oneself after proudly claiming I was too self-centered to be bothered with a family. My very existence began to feel cliche and unworthy.

Now, months after that realization and at nearly 39, I feel panicked thinking I’ll be a single, childless middle-aged woman. I worry that my youthful appearance will fade and that I wo n’t be able to find the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. If I sound desperate, it’s because I honestly do feel a little desperate. I am aware that I may not have the same ability to create life as I do at my current age.

In other words, the attraction to the self-centered, childless cat lady lifestyle eventually vanished, perhaps too late to change course. It lied about the empowerment it promised.

” It is such a’ me’-focused culture right now”, Persling added in a clip on Fox News. I simply believe that many of us are being ignored. … I do n’t want to wake up at, you know, 60 by myself and go,’ Well, I had a lot of fun.’ I want to wake up at age 60 next to my life’s true love, raising a family, and, you know, doing the things that are both significant and significant.

    Happy Kid Ladies

Harrison Butker, a Kansas City Chiefs kicker, said in a statement to a Catholic college’s graduating class,” I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. I have seen it firsthand how much happier someone can be when they ignore the outside noise and move closer and closer to God’s will in their life.” He spoke highly of Isabelle, his amazing wife, who has no regrets about her choice to be a wife and mother.

Feminists expressed outrage and were deeply offended by the idea that being a mother could be a fulfilling choice.

But maybe that’s because deep down, they know it’s true. Just like Taylor Swift, Sally Millz, Melissa Persling, and every other woman who tries to fill their hollowness with work, fame, or a partisan echo chamber — whether they admit it or not.

Their choice to make life-limiting decisions is indictable, and they should make a change before it’s too late. The cat lady’s chosen path will never be fully satisfied.
