A weapon was fired by Yemen’s Houthi rebels at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport on Saturday, which triggered heat lights in the country.
As per the news agency AFP,” The weapon power… carried out an activity targeting… ‘ Ben Gurion’… Airport”, the Iran-backed team said in a speech, adding it had named the weapon” Palestine 2″.
The Israeli Prime Minister was returning from the UNGA meeting in New York, USA, with the insurgents ‘ intentions in mind.
Big curls were audible after a weapon was fired from Yemen and intercepted, according to the Jewish military, and air raid lights sounded throughout central Israel on Saturday, including in Tel Aviv.
Following the intercept of another weapon early on Friday, the Houthis have launched an attack on Israel for the next day in less than two weeks.
After his death in an Israeli attack in Beirut, the Houthi action mourned Hezbollah’s leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, its ally in an Israel-backed empire.
On the social media platform X, the IDF reported that Long-range missiles were also launched into Israel from Palestinian territory toward the Jerusalem place.
In a number of West Bank communities and in eastern Israel, lights were audible.
The Hezbollah rocket attack from Palestinian territory was the deepest that Hezbollah had been involved in in recent fighting, sirens ringing in towns 140 kilometers away from the Lebanon border.
Iran calls for urgent UNSC meeting
Iran has requested an immediate appointment of the 15-member body in response to Israel’s subsequent steps in Lebanon and the broader area, according to a letter sent by Iran’s UN adviser Amir Saeid Iravani to the UN Security Council. The plea comes in the wake of Hezbollah head Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s death by Israel.
Iravani wrote in the text that” the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly warns against any invasion on its political buildings and staff in violation of the fundamental concept of the sanctity of political and diplomatic facilities.”
In addition, the Persian ambassador asserted that Iran is ready to pursue all necessary defenses of its crucial national and international security interests, as permitted by international law. Iran may not hesitate to use its natural privileges under international law to defend its most important regional and security interests, he wrote.
    International response
US President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris
President Joe Biden said Saturday that the Jewish strike that killed Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah was a “measure of righteousness” for survivors of a four-decade “reign of terror”,.
Biden also made note of the fact that the operation to remove Nasrallah occurred within the larger scope of the fight, which began with Hamas ‘ murder of Israelis on October 7, 2023.
” Nasrallah, the next day, made the unfortunate decision to join hands with Hamas and opened what he called a’ north before’ against Israel”, Biden said in a statement.
He also noted that Hezbollah under Nasrallah’s see has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans, Israelis and Lebanese.
But, Biden reiterated that he wants to discover cease-fires both in Gaza and between Israel and Hezbollah. ” It is time for these deals to shut, for the challenges to Israel to be removed, and for the broader Middle East region to achieve greater stability”, Biden said.
US Vice President Kamala Harris added that it echoed Biden’s definition of a “measure of righteousness” in a statement released on Saturday.
She continued,” President Biden and I do not want to see discord in the Middle East rise into a broader local war,” adding that diplomacy is still the best course of action to protect citizens and ensure long-term balance in the region.
    UN President
António Guterres, chairman of the UN, also made a comment about recent developments in the area and wrote,” I’m profoundly concerned by the dramatic increase of activities in Beirut in the last 24 hours. This vicious cycle has end right away. All parties must take a step back from the verge. The citizens of Lebanon, the people of Israel, as well as the wider region, never obtain an all-out battle”.
    Russia
Russia’s foreign secretary Sergey Lavrov described the shooting as” not just a political death. It’s quite cynical as an act”.
Some people think that Israel’s motivation for the murder was to “enter a full-blown conflict in the whole region,” according to Lavrov.
Lavrov said,” I do n’t think much, but many people do, that Israel wants to establish the conditions to entice the US directly,” and that doing so is equivalent to trying to provoke Iran. He even praised the Egyptian command for their responsible behaviour in response to the situation, saying,” The Iran command, I think, are behaving really properly. And this is essential. This is something that we ought to pay attention to.
