A day after the demise of Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah, Israel has killed another high-ranking Hezbollah captain, Nabil Kaouk, in an attack. Kaouk, the deputy head of Hezbollah’s Central Council, was eliminated on Saturday, according to the Israeli government. Hezbollah has not yet made any comments regarding the assault.
Nabil Kaouk was a former of Hezbollah, having joined the company in the 1980s. He was subject to sanctions by the United States in 2020 for his role in Hezbollah’s military activities in southeastern Lebanon.
In recent months, Israel has increased its attacks on Hezbollah goals. Assaults on Hezbollah’s communication devices are among them, along with numerous strikes across Lebanon. Many of the rocket launches Hezbollah is launching into northern Israel have been intercepted or dropped in unpopulated places.
