On Friday, two Democrat representatives who are running for U.S. Senate seats in Arizona and Texas endorsed keeping LGBT extremism in the military.
More than 160 House Democrats criticized the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act ( NDAA ) for Fiscal Year 2025, which forbids the Pentagon from implementing a number of extreme LGBT policies in a letter sent to leaders of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees. Among the article’s members are Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., and Rep. Colin Allred, D-Texas, both of whom are running for Senate votes in their respective state.
The report states that” the federal government may be working to ensure all service members and their families is thrive.” This includes making sure that LGBTQ+ service members and community members feel welcomed in the military and that any artwork and other forms of art that are associated with the LGBTQ+ area are not subject to censorship.
Approved by House legislators in June, the lower panel’s NDAA includes several revisions nixing neo-Marxist guidelines plaguing America’s military forces. House Democrats especially oppose provisions that prohibit the Defense Department from funding so-called “gender change surgeries” through the government’s TRICARE software and purchase of “pornographic” and “radical female ideology” for military schools.
The Democrats also wrote in opposition to the NDAA’s prohibition on LGBT flags from flying on agency grounds, which they claim would allow the Pentagon to fund “drag show ]s, drag queen story hours, or other similar events ]” on military bases.
Many of these modifications were included in the 2024 NDAA plan of House Republicans, but Senate Democrats essentially tossed them. In the end, the final “negotiated” version of the bill by Speaker Mike Johnson and Democrat management omitted these measures, allowing liberals ‘ neo-Marxist plans to linger in the war for another year.
Despite running in Republican-leaning state, both Gallego and Allred are major proponents of LGBT extremism.
The Democrat representatives are listed as supporting the Equality Act. As The Federalist’s Elle Purnell recently explained, that plan “would remove religious rights, freedom of speech, parental right, and the safety and protection of women and girls”.
In addition, Allred cosponsored a resolution that called for the federal government to pass a” Transgender Bill of Rights” to safeguard and codify transgender and nonbinary people’s legal rights, as well as their access to medical care, shelter, health, and financial security, according to a bill description.
A rep for Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz’s election battle told The Federalist,” Day after day Colin Allred shows Texans who he really is.” His history on gender concerns puts the lives of our children and families in danger. Simply put, Texas’s women and children ca n’t afford to have him as its next senator.
Kari Lake, the Arizona Republican nominee for the Senate, did not respond to The Federalist’s request for comment.
