The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline on Tuesday decreased significantly to$ 3.204, according to AAA, as oil prices decreased significantly to commence October.

This was a slight decrease from Monday’s cost of$ 3.216 per gallon. Gasoline prices are a little lower than they were last year, when it was$ 3.21 for a gallon of regular gas.

After days of declining at the pump, oil prices increased modestly next week. Petrol prices have decreased a little since the weekends because it continues to shift. Mississippi, a condition that largely voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020, has the lowest rate for a gallon of regular gasoline in the country at$ 2.682 per quart. California, a state that voted for the Democratic candidate in the last two elections, has the most expensive gas in the country, coming in with the hefty price of$ 4.683 per gallon.

In the run-up to the 2024 presidential election, the price of gasoline continues to be a hot issue. With President Joe Biden deciding not to seek election, Vice President Kamala Harris, then the Democratic presidential candidate, has to show how she will handle the country’s oil prices and electricity costs and how both affect the economy and people’s finances. Nevertheless, gas prices remain higher than when Trump was in business.

    Washington, D. C.

Gas prices increased very slightly on Tuesday in Washington, D. C. A gallon of regular gas now costs residents $3.305. On Monday, the gas price in the nation’s capital was $3.304. Both prices are less expensive than the cost of a gallon of regular gas over the weekend when it was $3.312. Prices are also cheaper than a week ago when regular gas was $3.354 per gallon. And despite this slight increase, gas prices are much more affordable today than a month ago, when the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Washington was $3.593.

    Virginia

On Tuesday, gas prices in Virginia decreased by under$ 3 per gallon, or$ 29.97, on average, for a gallon. The country’s price has fluctuated over the last week. Yesterday, a gallon of regular gas was$ 3.006 while a week ago, the price was$ 2.996 per gallon. When regular oil cost$ 3.203 per gallon on Tuesday, Virginia’s price was much lower than it did a month ago.

    Maryland

Petrol prices in Maryland even dropped on Tuesday after significantly increasing over the previous year. Regular oil today costs occupants$ 3.244 per quart, over 17 percent higher than last year, when gasoline was$ 3.07. The state’s rumors of falling rates were feigned by the state’s recent increases in fuel costs. On Tuesday, regular gas price almost as much as it did a month ago in Maryland, when a gallon of regular gas was$ 3.263.

    Delaware

After prices surged in Delaware on Monday, the price of regular gasoline significantly decreased on Tuesday, falling to$ 3.187 per gallon. This was a drop from Monday when gas was$ 3.193 per gallon. However, despite this fall, the price of gas is more than 21 percent higher than it was a week ago, when standard gasoline was$ 2.973 per quart. Prior to recent increases, the Delmarva region’s First State was the least expensive. However, that has changed. The price on Tuesday is higher than what it was on a gallon of regular gas a month ago, when it was$ 3.171.
