Yet if Donald Trump loses, 2024 may at least be the year that Americans ultimately ordered the psychopaths who make up our news media to heaven.
After wonderfully ranting that co-panelist Mehdi Hasan may be wearing one of those Israeli-rigged bursting beepers, CNN anchor Abby Phillip removed frequent visitor Ryan Girdusky ( a joyful acquaintance of mine ) from a roundtable section on one of its more pointless shows this year. According to Hasan, the joke came after the crowd at Donald Trump’s campaign rally was declared by him to be Nazis. Hasan helpfully explained that you must stop saying things if you do n’t want him to refer to you as a Nazi.
That’s the CNN way. It’s acceptable to suggest that you support the mass murder of Jews. Joke that a co-panelist, who is so vile he was demoted when he worked at MSNBC, might be wearing a bomb, and that’s” too far”, as Phillip said.
They are all aware that time is running out. Because their audience is shrinking, CNBC, MSNBC, and the networks are all aware of how much their overhead is no longer affordable. Their” star” anchors are reportedly receiving pay cuts or being told not to anticipate raises because of this. And it’s not because this was inevitable. It’s because they pissed away their credibility, literally the core product they sell, because they hate too many of their would-be customers.
Both by arrogance and conviction, these people believe it’s fine to demean, belittle, and then ultimately shut out half of this country. They’re finding out it comes with a heavy price.
Their audiences do n’t travel elsewhere solely because the networks ‘ credibility has been damaged. It’s a bleaker picture. People like Hasan and Phillip, who spit and permit insults and indolence at their political opponents while tolerating nothing less than submission, drove their audiences away. And the moment they’re challenged on their own terms, they insist you take it back, lest they accuse you of inciting violence.
It’s a revolting game they’ve gotten away with playing for far too long, and they’ve gotten away with it because, unlike them, most people are conflict-averse and are loath to offend. Hasan, Phillip, and their colleagues do it with impunity and glee.
Trump is projected to win, despite everything they’ve said about him and his supporters — , for years. If he does n’t, he will continue to have completely beaten this abominable feature of our media.
