Following two deadly attacks on Foreign citizens in Pakistan within a six-month phase, the Taiwanese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, urged the government to take swift action against anti-China criminal organizations.
The attacks took place in March and October, with the latter incident occurring just before Taiwanese President Xi Jinping‘s scheduled attend to Pakistan. Ambassador Jiang called for better safety practices at a workshop titled” China at 75″ and expressed her outrage over these incidents.
Ambassador Jiang said,” It is very undesirable for us to be attacked double in just six months and these problems have even caused consequences.”
The Ambassador stated that China expects Pakistan to employ stronger safety measures to safeguard Chinese individuals, corporations, and projects.
Jiang emphasized that security concerns pose the primary challenge to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor ( CPEC ), stating that “without safe and sound environment, nothing can be achieved”.
According to The Express Tribune, the conference was organized by the Pakistan China Institute, which included statements from both Ambassador Jiang and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
” Pakistan may severely punish the culprits and break down on all anti-China criminal organizations”, stated the embassy, adding,” Security is the biggest problem for China and a requirement to CPEC in Pakistan”.
The Ambassador remarked that” Chinese President Xi Jinping places person’s life first and is concerned about the security of the country.” He is particularly concerned about the security of the Chinese population in Pakistan. Every day when he meets with Muslim leaders, he asks for taking measures to ensure the safety of Chinese workers, organizations and tasks”.
Dare responded by confirming Pakistan’s continued counter-terrorism efforts and confirming that changes may be made available during the forthcoming meeting between President Asif Zardari and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Because some of the world’s powers have never digested the Pak-China companionship, Dar said,” there are an increasing number of problems on the Chinese citizens.”
Dare mentioned that Pakistan and China had just agreed to improve CPEC cooperation in areas including industry, industrialization, digital economy, agriculture, and clean energy, despite recent challenges.
Dare also criticized National efforts to prevent China’s financial supremacy.
Despite all the resources available, China will be the biggest market in due course.
been used against it, including raising taxes on its items up to 200 per cent”, said Dar. ” An increase in tariffs from 25 % to 20 % is nothing but politics,” according to the statement,” to stop China from becoming a global supereconomic power”
