On Wednesday, President Joe Biden signed an executive order granting$ 19 million in grants to institutions that serve Spanish individuals.
The University of Puerto Rico’s Rio Piedras Campus received$ 5 million of the communicate, with four other colleges across Florida, Illinois, and Texas sharing the rest. This income is part of the Education Department’s Research and Development Infrastructure Grant Program, which has a portfolio of around$ 49 million to divide among generally black, communally controlled, and minority-serving colleges and universities. That,  , comedian Tony Hinchcliffe , made a joke , about Puerto Rico that was ill received. Jorge Masvidal, an UFC player, expressed his opinion that Harris ‘ report was worse than the pun. In a post to X, Education Secretary Miguel Cardona feigned a liminal reference to the pun and this fresh executive order.

With each election cycle, the Democratic Party’s Spanish aid has decreased. Former President Barack Obama received 67 % of the Hispanic vote in 2012, down from President Joe Biden’s 59 %, before Hillary Clinton’s 66 % and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton received 67 %.
