According to press reviews in Finland, Scandinavian authorities have taken control of a beach area owned by the Russian position that was originally used by ambassadors for recreation.
The location, located near the southern area of Haggesbole, covers 17 hectares of land and 3.5 acres of coastal lakes.
Finnish judges carried out the arrest on October 24 in compliance with a Court of International Justice ( ICJ) decision to freeze Russian resources in The Hague.
In a related event, the Russian Center for Science and Culture was given control of a piece of land earlier in response to a lawsuit filed by Ukraine’s Naftohaz energy giant, which alleges$ 5 billion in losses brought on by Russia’s improper annexation of Crimea.
On October 28, the Russian Embassy in Finland claimed that it had not received an official warning of the seizure.
The Kremlin has stated that it disapproves of the ICJ’s authority.
