Vice President Kamala Harris and famous performer Jennifer Lopez shared the stage in Las Vegas for a prominent show of support. On Sunday, Lopez and Harris spoke to a packed audience in front of the pair, who both criticized former president Donald Trump‘s subsequent MSG rally and called it “diversifying.”
In her statement, Lopez addressed the crowd as an actress, song, and happy Puerto Rican-American. Lopez criticized Trump for hosting a New York function earlier this year at Madison Square Garden, where speakers reportedly made offensive jokes aimed at the Latino community.
actor Tony Hinchcliffe, better known as Kill Tony, who made the controversial claim that Puerto Rico was an “island of wastes” among the lecturers, was one of them. His statement was met with a lot of criticism, particularly from Puerto Ricans and activists for Latino communities all over the country.
” Trump has constantly worked to separate us”, Lopez said. He “reminded us at Madison Square Garden of who he really is and what he really feels.” That day, Puerto Ricans were n’t the only ones who were offended. It was every Latino in this region. It was society and everyone of good character”.
The singer of” On the Floor” clarified that her goal was to promote unity rather than attack another despite her criticism. ” I’m a lover. I am hardly a warrior. I am not here to crap people or bring them down”, she said, emphasising her devotion to good leadership.
Two days Grammy award candidate went on to say,” I am Puerto Rican, and well, I was born here, and we are Americans. I am a family. I am a girl. I am an artist and an artist. And I like Hollywood ending. I like when the great man, and in this case, the excellent lady wins”.
Polls indicate that this year’s poll may experience a historically female gap, with the majority of people supporting Trump and the majority of women supporting Harris. This fact highlights Harris’s focus on issues that resonate with people citizens, especially since the Supreme Court’s decision on June 24, 2022, to overturn Roe v. Wade—a landmark 1973 decision that legalised abortion nationwide.
