Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, and Kamala Harris, the vice presidential nominee, are all scheduled to appear in this week’s” Saturday Night Live” season.
A resource told the New York Post that the look has been kept extremely secret, with a recognizable Secret Service presence on set. According to the resource, Harris may join SNL’s typically politics-focused warm open.
Harris campaigned earlier on Saturday with an afternoon stop at Atlanta’s Civic Center, a protest in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a guest appearance on “SNL” the week before the election, which is regarded as the Democrats ‘ last push before Election Day.
Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va. ), who is running for reelection for a third term against Republican challenger Hung Cao, will also appear in this season, which is hosted by former SNL cast member John Mulaney.
In subsequent election episodes, Harris has often been mistaken by Maya Rudolph, a former SNL cast member, similar to previous portrayals of well-known politicians on the Emmy-winning program. Amy Poehler reportedly impersonated Hillary Clinton, and Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin image became a household name.
Saturday Night Live has hosted a range of social numbers over the years, including previous President Donald Trump, who hosted in 2004 and 2015, President Barack Obama, Sen. Bernie Sanders, the late Sen. John McCain, and the later President George H. W. Bush, among others.
Pete Davidson, a polarizing former SNL cast member, may also appear as a tourist. Chappell Roan, the singer, will be this year’s music guest.
