Owner of Peanuts Mark Longo claimed in a recent interview that he was treated like a “terrorist” during the 5-hour assault on his house.
Longo explained to Fox that the federal agents came with a seek warrant to capture both Peanut and Fred the fox during an appointment with the station.
” They treated me like I was a criminal. This attack was conducted as though I were a pharmaceutical supplier, they claimed. They ransacked my home for five days”, Longo told TMZ.
” They asked my wife, who is of European descent, what her immigration position was. They inquired as to whether I had monitors inside my home. Without a police escort, who then checked the back of the toilet to see if I was hiding anything there, they would n’t let me use the restroom.
Peanut, or” PNUT”, was rescued seven years ago by Longo, after Peanut’s mother was killed by a car. Longo, who could n’t find a shelter to take him in, raised Peanut from infancy.
PNUT was a social media sensation and according to Longo, he became the basis of their non-profit dog rescue organisation, Peanut’s Freedom Farm to support the ignored animals, which now shelters more than 300 animals.

A fleet of cars from the state agencies of Environmental Conservation and Health arrived at his Pine City apartment on Wednesday, shocking Mark Longo, whose animal cat P’nut had attracted the attention of 3 million social media users.
They gave him an unanticipated warrant to acquire P’nut and Fred.
Both animals were put to death Friday by the state to check for rabies after the cat supposedly bit an official, according to the state. Test results are pending.
Longo said while it’s illegal to keep squirrels or raccoons as pets, he could n’t leave them outside. The DEC said the attack followed concerns about his fox, Fred, but Longo insists they used this as an pardon to seize his cat, Peanut.
The DEC claims P’nut bit an established, but Longo disputes this, noting that officers wore thicker protective gloves.
He wants an investigation into the hepatitis claim and will file a request for officials ‘ health information.
